Our chosen charities this year are a testament to positivity and hope, spanning a wide range of causes: military veterans, underprivileged children, cutting–edge research into dementia and end–of–life care. That means practical, emotional and financial support for airmen and women via the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund – and unforgettable, life–changing countryside breaks for youngsters aged 9–13, courtesy of Go Beyond. Our medical charity Race Against Dementia is the super–charged dream machine of F1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart, who has thrown himself – and all those in motorsport – into finding that elusive cure for dementia at top speed. And in Marie Curie, we present a charity devoted to taking the fear away from dying through its celebrated hospice and nursing work. Even in the most difficult of circumstances, these charities all offer reasons to be hopeful. But they need our help.
Every year, the Telegraph showcases the work of deserving charities, and every year our readers respond with enormous generosity. We ask the same of you in 2023 on behalf of the four charities. Your generosity this Christmas will support their good works.
